Post CITY transforms a large infrastructural site next to Linz Central Station into a mixed urban district organised around a central green square. Six building plots form a sequence of streets, courtyards and smaller public spaces, while two towers frame the main entrance from the station and mark the new district within the city.
Housing, offices, hotel, retail, culture and leisure are combined within flexible building structures. Public and semi-public landscapes continue across planted roofs and elevated gardens, while through traffic is largely kept out of the interior of the site. The result is a dense piece of city in which infrastructure, buildings and landscape are treated as one connected system.
